Pune, 2nd March 2026: The Pune City Traffic Department carried out a three-day special campaign targeting drivers under the influence of alcohol between February 27 and March 1, 2026. The initiative aimed to enhance road safety and reduce accident risks across the city.

During the drive, 30 checkpoints were set up at various locations across Pune, where drivers were checked using breath analyzers. As a result, a total of 301 drivers were booked for driving under the influence. Legal action, including fines and further proceedings under the Motor Vehicles Act, was taken against the offenders.
