3 days workshop on “Machine UI/UX Designing” held at Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) College of Engineering, Pune (BV(DU)COE)

 Dr Anand Bhalerao was speaking at the inauguration of a 3 days workshop for students on “Machine UI/UX Designing” (User Interface,User Experience Machine designing) held at Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) College of Engineering, Pune (BV(DU)COE) in association with Mozilla Campus Club of BV(DU)COE. Adarsh Kumar, Member, Mozilla Campus Club, BV(DU)COE, was the key facilitator for this workshop.
The contents of the 3 days workshop was focused to introduce the participants with these concepts and the underlying principles, techniques and methodologies with a complete hands on experience of interfacing user with the system, where system could be a website, a web application or desktop software.
Dr Anand Bhalerao said that over the last decade, companies like Apple, Facebook, and Square have employed a design-centric ethos to set themselves apart from the competition. He said with the advent of digitization, there has been a shift in the focus from just designing to designing for a better user experience.
He further said that with several companies beginning their User Experience (UX) design practices, the need for UX professionals in India has begun to grow tremendously and job titles like UX Developer or User Interface (UI) designer have emerged as the future front of design roles. UX Design is #1 out of 7 in-demand careers for design and planning, with job growth up to 30% he stated.
Further   Dr Anand Bhalerao   said that UX experts are now becoming not just contributors to product development but collaborators and co-discoverers as well. Hence in the coming years, there shall be a major rise in the importance given to digital design and UI/UX globally as well as nationally and thus promises to be a lucrative career option in the near future.
  He concluded his speech by stating an excerpt from Economic Times which mentioned a list of top 10 skills that can help students stay relevant in job market. User experience designer, user interface designer, user interface designer (computer software applications), creative director topped the list with median annual salary range of Rs 5-10 Lakh.
Mr. Adarsh Kumar, Member, Mozilla Campus Club, BV(DU)COE, was the key facilitator for this workshop. User interface is the visual part of computer application or operating system through which a user interacts with a computer or software. It determines how commands are given to the computer or the program and how information is displayed on the screen. User experience (abbreviated as UX) is how a person feels when interfacing with a system.
The system could be a website, a web application or desktop software and, in modern contexts, is generally denoted by some form of human-computer interaction (HCI).
