3 perons arrested for betting on IPL match

Pimpri – Sleuths from Pimpri police station on Wednesday night raided a flat at Shagun Chowk and nabbed three men who were involved in betting during Mumbai Indians vs Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Police have seized 18 mobile phones, two laptops, notebooks, calculators, pena etc and Rs 4370 cash.
Acting on a tipoff received by policeman Shakir Jinedi, the raid was conducted on the third floor above Cotton King shop at Shagun chowk in Pimpri.

Police have arrested Ram Govind Bajaj (46), Anil Deepaklal Darda (39) and Govind Prabhudas Lalwani (40), all residents of Pimpri.

They have been charged for offences under relevant sections of the Mumbai Gambling Act.
