44-Year-Old Housekeeping Worker Dies After Falling from 9th Floor of Pune’s Nucleus Mall

Camp, 31st July 2026: A 44-year-old housekeeping worker died after allegedly falling from the ninth floor of a commercial building while on duty at Nucleus Mall, located opposite the Pune Police Commissioner’s Office, on Thursday evening.

The deceased has been identified as Reshma Mahebub Inamdar (44), a resident of Somwar Peth. The Bund Garden Police have registered an Accidental Death Report (ADR) in connection with the incident.

According to the police, Inamdar had been employed as a housekeeping staff member at Nucleus Mall for the past eight to ten years. She had reported for duty at around 8 am on Thursday.

The incident occurred between 4:30 pm and 5 pm while she was carrying out cleaning work on the building’s ninth floor. Police said she allegedly fell through a duct, sustaining fatal injuries. She was declared dead at the scene.

After being alerted, officers from the Bund Garden Police Station rushed to the spot and began an inquiry. The body was sent to Sassoon General Hospital for post-mortem examination.

Police have registered an accidental death case and are investigating the exact circumstances surrounding the incident. Further investigation is underway.
