7617 New COVID Cases Reported In Pune District, 15 Deaths Reported
Pune, 30th January 2022: A total of 7617 new Coronavirus disease (COVID19) patients were reported in the Pune district today while 13,704 people were discharged from hospitals. 15 people succumbed to the deadly virus in the last 24 hours.
According to District Health Officer (DHO) Dr Bhagwan Pawar, there are 63,409 active patients in the district and 2270 of them are admitted to hospitals while 61,139 are in home isolation. Out of 7617 new cases, 3896 were reported in Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), 2133 in Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), 286 in municipal councils (Nagar Parishad), 147 in cantonments, and 1155 in rural areas.
Among the 15 deaths, eight were in PMC, five were in PCMC, and two were in rural areas. Out of 13,704 discharged patients, 6283 were in PMC, 4369 were in PCMC, 516 were in municipal councils, 231 were in cantonments, and 2305 were in rural areas.
