905 New COVID Cases Reported In Pune District; 59,740 Vaccine Doses Administered

Pune, 16th September 2021: A total of 905 new Coronavirus disease (COVID19) patients were reported in the Pune district today while 703 people were discharged from hospitals. 06 people succumbed to the deadly virus in the last 24 hours.

Today, A total of 59,740 COVID vaccine doses were administered in the Pune district today taking the total vaccination doses to date to 93,82,786. About 66,56,610 people have got the first dose while 27,26,176 people have got two doses.

According to District Health Officer (DHO) Dr Bhagwan Pawar, there are 7723  active patients in the district and 3377 of them are admitted to hospitals while 4346 are in home isolation. Out of 905 new cases, 215 were reported in Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), 183 in Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), 72 in municipal councils (Nagar Parishad), 06 in cantonments, and 429 in rural areas.

Among the 06 deaths, four were in PMC, one was in PCMC, and one was in rural areas. Out of 703 discharged patients, 161 were in PMC, 120 were in PCMC, 40 were in municipal councils, 05 were in cantonments, and 377 were in rural areas.
