937 New COVID Cases Reported In Pune District; 20,527 Vaccine Doses Administered
Pune, 11 August 2021: A total of 937 new Coronavirus disease (COVID19) patients were reported in the Pune district today while 1076 people were discharged from hospitals. 12 people succumbed to the deadly virus in the last 24 hours. Today, a total of 20,527 doses of the COVID vaccine was administered to people in the district.
According to District Health Officer (DHO) Dr Bhagwan Pawar, there are 7663 active patients in the district and 4218 of them are admitted to hospitals while 3445 are in home isolation. Out of 937 new cases, 259 were reported in Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), 211 in Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), 75 in municipal councils (Nagar Parishad), 07 in cantonments, and 385 in rural areas.
Among the 12 deaths, five were in PMC, three were in PCMC, one was in cantonments, and three were in rural areas. Out of 1076 discharged patients, 256 were in PMC, 227 were in PCMC, 61 were in municipal councils, 09 were in cantonments, and 523 were in rural areas.
