969  New COVID Cases Reported In Pune District; 52,868 Vaccine Doses Administered

Pune, 2nd September 2021: A total of 969 new Coronavirus disease (COVID19) patients were reported in the Pune district today while 639 people were discharged from hospitals. 13 people succumbed to the deadly virus in the last 24 hours. Today, a total of 52,868 doses of the COVID vaccine was administered to people in the district.
According to District Health Officer (DHO) Dr Bhagwan Pawar, there are 9983 active patients in the district and 4884 of them are admitted to hospitals while 5099 are in home isolation. Out of 969 new cases, 222 were reported in Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), 200 in Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), 103 in municipal councils (Nagar Parishad), 08 in cantonments, and 436 in rural areas.

 

Among the 13 deaths, four were in PMC, one was in PCMC, two were in municipal councils (Nagar Parishad) and six were in rural areas. Out of 639 discharged patients, 107 were in PMC, 132 were in PCMC, 64 were in municipal councils, 07 were in cantonments, and 329 were in rural areas.
