976 New COVID Cases Reported In Pune District; 97,100 Vaccine Doses Administered
Pune, 14 August 2021: A total of 976 new Coronavirus disease (COVID19) patients were reported in the Pune district today while 988 people were discharged from hospitals. 16 people succumbed to the deadly virus in the last 24 hours. Today, a total of 97,100 doses of the COVID vaccine was administered to people in the district.
According to District Health Officer (DHO) Dr Bhagwan Pawar, there are 7864 active patients in the district and 4829 of them are admitted to hospitals while 3035 are in home isolation. Out of 976 new cases, 258 were reported in Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), 181 in Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), 61 in municipal councils (Nagar Parishad), 06 in cantonments, and 470 in rural areas.
Among the 16 deaths, six were in PMC, two were in PCMC, and eight were in rural areas. Out of 988 discharged patients, 249 were in PMC, 137 were in PCMC, 106 were in municipal councils, 04 were in cantonments, and 492 were in rural areas.
