1500 People Fined In Two Days For Not Wearing Masks: Pune Police
Pune, 6th January 2022: Police have launched a crackdown on people found without masks in public places in Pune city. Accordingly, in the last two days, over one and a half thousand unmasked citizens were fined Rs 500 each.
Police in the city on Wednesday cracked down on 391 people who did not wear masks during the day. After that, on Thursday, the police took action against 1,102 more persons who did not wear masks.
Joint Commissioner of Police Ravindra Shisve has appealed to people to wear masks and maintain social distancing in public places to prevent the spread of Coronavirus disease.
