Pune: Police Constable Threatened With Death for Taking Action on a Vehicle

Dighi, 8th August 2025: A police constable was abused in Pimpri-Chinchwad’s Dighi area on Thursday for taking punitive action on a vehicle. He was beaten, verbally abused, and threatened with death. The incident occurred in the Dehu Phata area.

Police Constable Kalyan Bhosale has filed a complaint at Dighi Police Station. Ismail Saifan Bhaganagare (age 23, resident of Bhosari) has been arrested and booked.

Police stated that Constable Bhosale was on duty in the Dehu Phata area and was taking action against unruly drivers. The accused was seen violating traffic rules. To avoid punishment, the accused first requested leniency, but when the policeman did not comply, he started threatening him.

FIR filed by the complainant says that the accused said, “I’ll kill you,” and also threw a stone at him, resulting in an injury to the constable’s wrist.

Dighi Police are investigating the matter further.
