Pune: Maharashtra Board Extends Deadline for SSC, HSC Private Exam Applications

Pune, 15th September 2025: The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) has announced an extension of the deadline for private candidates applying for the SSC (Class 10) and HSC (Class 12) board examinations, scheduled for February–March 2026. Students filing through Form No. 17 can now submit applications with regular fees until September 30, 2025.

The Board clarified that all applications will be processed exclusively online through its official portal – www.mahahsscboard.in
No offline submissions will be accepted under any circumstances.

Step-by-Step Application

To complete the procedure, students must:

Register online and pay the required fees.

Print the application form and submit it with two photocopies of the online fee receipt and the original documents to the school or junior college specified in the application.

Documents such as the school leaving certificate, Aadhaar card, and passport-size photographs are required for both uploading and verification.

Once verified, eligible candidates will be issued their registration certificates online. After receiving these certificates, students must submit their examination forms and fees within the given timeline. The Board also reminded applicants to collect their original documents back from the respective institutions after the verification process.

Officials stated that the decision was taken to ensure no eligible private student misses the chance to appear for the upcoming board exams, giving them additional time to complete formalities.
