Evening Rain Disrupts Traffic Across Pune; IMD Forecasts Partly Cloudy Skies for Coming Days
Pune, 8th October 2025: Heavy rainfall during the evening hours on Wednesday led to traffic disruptions across several areas of Pune city. Commuters experienced slow movement on key roads as waterlogging affected certain low-lying areas.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the city recorded the following rainfall:
Pashan: 33.8 mm
Lohgaon: 20 mm
Shivajinagar: 12.2 mm
Magarpatta: 12 mm
Loni Kalbhor: 8 mm
Chinchwad: 3.5 mm
The IMD has issued a short-term forecast for Pune, indicating partly cloudy skies gradually turning generally cloudy during afternoons and evenings from October 9 to 10. From October 11 to 14, mainly clear skies are expected, turning partly cloudy later in the day.
