MSRTC to Run 598 Extra Buses from Pune During Diwali to Ease Travel Rush

Pune, 9th October 2025: With Diwali approaching, the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC), Pune division, has announced the operation of 598 extra buses to manage the surge of passengers traveling to their hometowns. These additional services will run from October 15 to November 5.

The extra buses will serve destinations across North Maharashtra, Marathwada, West Maharashtra, and Konkan, ensuring smooth travel during the festive period. Major stations in Pune, including Swargate, Shivajinagar, and Pimpri-Chinchwad, will be part of this schedule.

The distribution of the extra buses is as follows:
Pimpri-Chinchwad: 396 buses
Swargate: 122 buses to Satara, Sangli, Kolhapur, Solapur, and Konkan
Shivajinagar: 80 buses to various destinations

The MSRTC has emphasized that these special services aim to reduce crowding and provide convenient travel for passengers during Diwali. The Transport Department has urged travelers to make advance reservations at the respective stations to ensure a smooth journey.
