Pune, 5th November 2025: The Bajaj Pune Marathon, one of India’s most-awaited running events, is set to return for its sixth edition on December 14, with a renewed spirit of inclusivity and ambition under the theme “You Too Can Fly.”

Organised by Bajaj Finserv Ltd, one of India’s leading and most diversified financial services groups, this year’s marathon aims to bring together thousands of participants — from international champions to everyday runners — united by the belief that perseverance can help anyone soar beyond limits.

Adding a global touch to this edition are two of the world’s most celebrated sprinters — Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, Jamaica’s sprint queen and the most decorated 100m runner in history with 17 World Championship and 8 Olympic medals, and Noah Lyles, the reigning American World and Olympic Champion known as the fastest man on the planet. Both athletes will serve as international ambassadors for the event, embodying the marathon’s message of determination, excellence, and self-belief.

The Bajaj Pune Marathon, which began in 2018 as a half-marathon, has grown into a major sporting celebration. For the first time, it will include a full marathon (42.2 km), along with other categories such as the half marathon (21.1 km), 10 km race, and 5 km timed run, making it accessible to participants of all ages and fitness levels.

Speaking about the upcoming edition, Sanjiv Bajaj, Chairman and Managing Director of Bajaj Finserv, said, “Our goal has always been to give wings to every Indian’s aspirations. The theme ‘You Too Can Fly’ reflects the limitless potential within all of us. With Noah Lyles and Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce joining as race ambassadors, this marathon goes beyond endurance — it celebrates India’s collective spirit to dream, strive, and achieve.”

Sharing her excitement, Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce said, “Every finish line opens the door to new possibilities. The Bajaj Pune Marathon carries that same energy — bringing people together through belief, fitness, and purpose. I’m thrilled to be part of this celebration of human potential and the spirit to fly higher.”

Echoing her enthusiasm, Noah Lyles added, “I’m looking forward to being the honorary starter at the Bajaj Pune Marathon. India has always been close to my heart — a large part of my fan base is here, and this is my way of giving back the love they’ve shown me. I can’t wait to meet everyone at one of India’s most inspiring marathons.”

With two of the world’s greatest athletes motivating thousands to chase their dreams, the 2025 Bajaj Pune Marathon is set to become one of the country’s most significant and inspirational sports events.
