CTET February 2026: CBSE to Release Exam Notification Soon — Check Eligibility, Fees, and Other Details
New Delhi, 24th November 2025: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is expected to release the notification for the CTET 2026 exam soon and open the online application process. Eligible candidates can apply through the official website, ctet.nic.in. The exam is scheduled to be conducted on 8 February 2026.
Exam Date Already Announced
CBSE has already confirmed the exam date for both Paper 1 and Paper 2 as 8 February 2026.
Eligibility Criteria
CTET Paper 1 (Classes 1 to 5): Candidates should have passed Class 12 with at least 50% marks along with a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) or an equivalent qualification. In some cases, a graduation degree with B.Ed may also be required.
CTET Paper 2 (Classes 6 to 8): Candidates must have completed graduation along with a 2-year D.El.Ed or an equivalent qualification.

Click on the registration link under the latest news section.
Fill in the required personal and educational details.
Upload scanned copies of your photograph and signature.
Pay the prescribed application fee according to the paper and category.
Submit the form and take a printout for future reference.
Payment of the application fee via online mode is mandatory. Applications submitted without payment will be rejected automatically.
Application Fees
General Candidates:
One paper: ₹1,000
Both papers: ₹1,200
SC/ST/Differently-abled Candidates:
One paper: ₹500
Both papers: ₹600
