Camp, 11th March 2026: A 30-year-old architect was allegedly stabbed to death following an altercation linked to a teasing incident in the Modikhana area of Camp on Tuesday night. Police have arrested three persons in connection with the murder.

The deceased has been identified as Faisal Farukh Khan (30), a resident of Kausarbag in Kondhwa. The arrested accused are Ali Abbas Ashrafali Syed (25), a resident of Chudaman Talim in Bhavani Peth; Sohail Yusuf Tamboli (22), a resident of MHADA Colony in Viman Nagar; and Ashrafali Gaffar Syed (55), also a resident of MHADA Colony in Viman Nagar. Police have also registered a case against three other associates who were allegedly involved in the incident.

According to police, Khan worked as an architect in a private firm. On Tuesday night, he was standing with his friends and chatting in the New Modikhana area of Camp.

During that time, the accused were passing by on a motorcycle. Police said Khan jokingly called out to one of them. The accused — Syed, Tamboli and Syed — allegedly returned to the spot shortly afterwards and also contacted their associates over mobile phones, asking them to come there.

The group then confronted Khan and questioned him about why he had called out to them. The argument soon escalated, and the accused allegedly assaulted him with kicks and punches before stabbing him with a knife.

Khan sustained serious injuries in the attack and was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he later died during treatment.

Following the incident, police launched an investigation and arrested the three accused. Senior Police Inspector Santosh Khetmalis of Lashkar Police Station is conducting further investigation.
