Between Words and Silence: A Poetic Evening at Monalisa Kalagram
Pune, 18th March 2026: On the evening of 29th March, the serene artistic space of Monalisa Kalagram will come alive with words, pauses, and emotions as KavitaKAFE presents its much-awaited poetry event, Khamoshiyaan. Scheduled from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm, the gathering promises an immersive experience where silence speaks as powerfully as words.
KavitaKAFE, a Pune-based poetry collective, has been consistently working towards promoting Hindi language reading and writing through thoughtfully curated events. Over time, it has built a vibrant community of poets, listeners, and literature enthusiasts. Through its literary initiative “Kitaabon se mulaqaat, shabdon se baat”, the group has hosted engaging discussions on works by Manav Kaul and the Hindi classic Rashmirathi by Ramdhari Singh Dinkar, further strengthening its commitment to meaningful literary dialogue.
Khamoshiyaan will feature a diverse lineup of poets including Devika Nadig, Ravi Acharya, Keshava Shukla, Surbhi Jain, Shahbaaz Khan, Gayatri, Bobby Mittal, Dhruv Jalota, Ragini More, Surabhii Aplesh, Ashwini Kulkarni, Devanshi Patel, Vinay Gadgil, Ashish D Gharpure, and Salil Jain. Adding another layer of expression to the evening, musicians Anupam Banerjee and Omkar Zanjote will interweave melodies with poetry, creating a soulful atmosphere.
Reflecting on the significance of the day, Garima Mishra, founder of KavitaKAFE, shares, “The date 29th March holds a special place in our journey. It was on this day that we conducted the very first session of our social initiative Healing Verses at Vrindavan Old-Age Home. Completing a year of this initiative feels deeply fulfilling. Over the past year, we have taken these sessions to spaces like Aaji Care, QMTI, Poona Blind School, and Cipla Palliative Care, connecting through poetry in the most heartfelt ways.”
Echoing the sentiment, Lisa Pingale, founder of Monalisa Kalagram, expresses, “KavitaKAFE’s poetry sessions have brought a distinct lyrical charm to Monalisa Kalagram, turning it into a space where art and emotions beautifully converge.”
As the sun sets on a Sunday evening, Khamoshiyaan invites audiences to pause, listen, and feel—reminding us that sometimes, the deepest conversations happen in silence.
For this month’s session, Tales and Spirits has come on board to sponsor refreshments, making the evening even more delightful for attendees.
