Pune: 34-Year-Old Man Dies After Coming Under Truck Wheel in Undri

Pune, 14th September 2026: A 34-year-old man died after allegedly coming under the rear wheel of a truck near Zamzam Hotel at Undri Chowk in Pune on Monday evening, police said.
The deceased has been identified as Vinod Soni (34), a resident of Handewadi in Hadapsar, Pune.
According to police, the accident occurred around 7:30 pm on Monday, September 14. Soni was travelling towards the main road from Handewadi towards Chowk when he allegedly came under the rear wheel of a truck bearing registration number KA-56-3098.
The truck was allegedly being driven by Rehman Aisa Patel (65), a resident of Bidar, Karnataka.
Police personnel from the Undri Police Chowky were informed about the accident following which officers reached the spot and conducted a panchnama.
The truck driver has been taken into custody along with the vehicle, police said. A case is being registered and further legal action is underway.
