ICMAI Pune Chapter Hosts Members’ Interaction with Council Members
Pune, 26th April 2026: The Pune chapter of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI) organized an interactive session with central and regional council members, highlighting new initiatives aimed at improving member and student support, including the introduction of a dedicated helpdesk.
Prasad emphasized that continuous engagement between the institute’s leadership and its members is essential for strengthening the profession. “Regular dialogue, knowledge-sharing, and skill development will play a crucial role in enhancing the capabilities of CMA professionals,” he added.
The event, held at the CMA Bhawan in Karvenagar, was attended by ICMAI Vice-President Neeraj Joshi, Central Council Members CMA Navneet Jain and CMA Ashish Thatte, along with Western India Regional Council representatives, Secretary CMA Chaitanya Moharir, and Vice Chairman CMA Nanty Shah. Office-bearers of the Pune chapter, including Chairman CMA Shrikant Ippalpalli, Vice Chairman CMA Rahul Chincholkar, Secretary CMA Himanshu Dave, and Treasurer CMA Tanuja Mantrawadi, were also present.
In his opening remarks, Ippalpalli outlined various professional and student-centric initiatives undertaken by the Pune chapter, stating that seminars, workshops, and development programs have strengthened the institute’s visibility and outreach, especially during its diamond jubilee year.
Joshi noted that the relocation of the institute’s headquarters from Kolkata to Delhi has improved operational efficiency and enabled quicker coordination with government authorities.
Ashish Thatte said improved administrative control under the current leadership has created new opportunities for professional growth, while Navneet Jain spoke about recent developments in the cooperative and banking sectors and the expanding role of CMA professionals.
An interactive Q&A session was held, where council members addressed queries raised by participants. Earlier, AI trainer CMA Devdatt Kekatpure delivered a lecture on artificial intelligence.
The session was anchored by Tanuja Mantrawadi, and the vote of thanks was delivered by Himanshu Dave.
