AC Complaint on Danapur–Hadapsar Train: RailMadad Says Slow Running and 436-Minute Delay Affected Power Generation
Pune, 04th July 2026: A passenger travelling in the B2 coach of Train No. 01450 Danapur–Hadapsar Daily Special has alleged that the air-conditioning system remained non-functional from the beginning of the journey on July 3, prompting a complaint to Railway authorities and India’s Railway Minister through social media.
The passenger, Shreyas Sanyal, stated that despite travelling in a Third AC (3A) coach, passengers experienced inadequate cooling throughout the journey. After sharing the train details and PNR, the complaint was escalated through RailwaySeva and registered on the RailMadad grievance portal under the category of electrical equipment with the sub-category “AC – Less Cooling.”
According to the screenshots shared by the passenger, the grievance was subsequently marked as closed by RailMadad. The closing remarks stated that Train No. 01450 had been rescheduled and was running behind schedule, and that the train was experiencing slow running and prolonged halts, including at a non-scheduled location.

The response further stated that the train was operating with an ICF rake, where electricity required for air-conditioning, lighting and fans is generated through an axle-driven alternator. According to the remarks, the prolonged slow movement and extended halts resulted in low voltage, affecting the functioning of electrical equipment, including the air-conditioning system.
Another screenshot from the grievance portal shows the railway’s feedback stating that the train was running late by 436 minutes due to slow running and long halts, resulting in inadequate power generation and affecting the operation of lights, fans and air-conditioning. The remarks also noted that multiple complaints regarding insufficient cooling had been received during the journey.
Following the closure of the complaint, the passenger shared screenshots of the grievance response on social media, describing the resolution as unsatisfactory, and tagged railway officials, including divisional authorities, while raising concerns over the functioning of electrical equipment during delayed train operations.
