Ganesh Chaturthi 2026: When Will Pune’s Manache Ganpati Be Installed? Check Timings
Pune, 13th September 2026: With Ganesh Chaturthi just around the corner, preparations for Ganeshotsav 2026 are in full swing across Pune. The city’s prominent Manache Ganpati mandals will install their idols at auspicious times on Monday, September 14.
The traditional processions will feature dhol-tasha pathaks, bands, palkhis and decorated chariots, with mandals making final preparations for both the processions and the subsequent puja ceremonies.
This year, Ganeshotsav will be observed for 12 days due to an increase in the tithi, adding to the festive atmosphere across the city.
Here is the schedule for the installation of Pune’s Manache Ganpati:
1. Kasba Ganpati – 11:45 am
The procession will begin at 8:15 am from the festival pavilion, with the idol being carried in a silver palkhi. Prabhat Band, Sangharsh Dhol-Tasha Pathak of Jnan Prabodhini Yuva Vibhag and Shaurya Dhol-Tasha Pathak will participate in the procession.
The installation will be performed by 19-year-old Vedmurti Devvrat Rekhe.
2. Tambdi Jogeshwari Ganpati – 12:15 pm
The procession will begin at 10 am from Mandar Lodge on Kelkar Road in Narayan Peth and proceed via Kunte Chowk, Nagarkar Talim Chowk and Appa Balwant Chowk.
Yogi Niranjannath Guru Shantinath will perform the installation. This year, the mandal’s decoration features a replica of the Tulja Bhavani Temple in Tuljapur.
3. Guruji Talim Ganpati – 1:55 pm
The procession will begin at 11 am from the Guruji Talim Ganpati Temple. The idol will be carried on a flower-decorated chariot, accompanied by several dhol-tasha pathaks and bands.
Entrepreneur Punit Balan and Janhavi Dharival-Balan will perform the installation.
4. Tulshibaug Ganpati – 12:30 pm
The procession will begin at 9 am from the Ganpati Temple and pass through Laxmi Road, Bajirao Road, Appa Balwant Chowk and other prominent routes in the city.
Swami Govinddev Giri of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Nyas will perform the installation.
5. Kesariwada Ganpati – 11:45 am
The traditional palkhi procession will begin at 9 am from Ramanbaug Chowk. It will proceed via Shinde Par Chowk, Omkareshwar Temple, Vartak Udyan and N.C. Kelkar Road.
Raunak Rohit Tilak will perform the installation, while Vedmurti Kaustubh Khalikar will conduct the rituals.
6. Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Ganpati – 12:30 pm
The procession will begin at 8:15 am from Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Bhavan and proceed via Budhwar Chowk, Tambdi Jogeshwari Temple, Appa Balwant Chowk and Bajirao Road.
Veteran flautist Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia will perform the installation.
7. Akhil Mandai Ganpati – 12 noon
The Sharda-Gajanan procession will begin at 10 am on a grand, flower-decorated chariot. It will pass through Mandai Police Chowki, Rameshwar Chowk and Gotiram Bhaiya Chowk before reaching the festival pavilion.
Dr Vinay Thorat and Pratibha Thorat will perform the installation.
8. Shrimant Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati – 11:11 am
The procession will begin at 8:30 am from the Ganpati Temple on a flower-decorated peacock chariot. It will proceed via Appa Balwant Chowk, Limbaraj Maharaj Chowk, Shanipar Chowk and Tilak Statue-Mandai.
The Pran Pratishtha will be performed at 11:11 am by Shrihit Mohitmaral Goswami Maharaj of the Shri Radhavallabh Temple in Vrindavan.
With thousands of devotees expected to participate in the traditional processions, Pune is gearing up for a grand start to the 12-day Ganeshotsav celebrations. The processions are also expected to draw large crowds along the traditional routes in the city.
