Pune: FLNAT Exam Under Ullas Nav Bharat Literacy Programme Postponed
Pune, 19th September 2026: The first Foundational Literacy and Numeracy Assessment Test (FLNAT) for 2026-27, to be conducted under the Ullas Nav Bharat Literacy Programme, has been postponed due to unavoidable administrative reasons.
The examination was earlier scheduled to be held offline on September 20, 2026, from 10am to 5pm. However, authorities have now directed that preparations for the examination be kept in abeyance temporarily.
Preparations had been underway at the district level, including finalising examination centres, registering candidates and preparing their lists, making physical and administrative arrangements, and coordinating with the agencies concerned.
The authorities have directed officials to inform candidates, volunteers, teachers, headmasters, examination centre officials and staff, and other stakeholders about the postponement to avoid any confusion regarding the examination.
Education director and member-secretary of the State Literacy Mission Authority, Maharashtra, Krishnakumar Patil, issued instructions to the education officers (Planning) of all districts, as well as Mumbai, through a letter dated September 16.
The revised date and timing for the FLNAT examination have not yet been announced.
