Pune, 29 January 2020: The Crime Branch of Pune City Police has seized 1410 kg adulterated Paneer from a shop in Parvati area. Police said that the spurious Paneer was brought here from Palghar.

Head Constable Ganesh Salunke of Crime Branch Unit 4 had received information that adulterated Paneer was being sold at a shop in Vishnu society at Mitra Mandal Chowk, Parvat.

Accordingly a team led by Police Inspector Anjum Bagwan, under supervision of Add CP (crime) Ashok Morale and DCP (crime) Bachchan Singh, and officials from the Food and Drugs Administration (FDA) raided the shop and seized 1410 kg Paneer totally worth Rs 2.53 lakhs. The FDA has taken samples of the Paneer and sealed the Paneer in a refrigerator.

The police team included Assistant Police Inspector Ganesh Pawar, and policemen Sunil Pawar, Rakesh Khunve and Nilesh Shivtare.
