Aces win girls’ title, Bulls win boys’ title at KMBA Basketball League

Pune, January 31, 2026: Aces team won the title in the girls’ category, while the Bulls team won the title in the boys’ category at the KMBA Basketball League tournament organized by the Karna Mehta Basketball Academy (KMBA)

In the final match of the tournament, held at Abil Castle Royal Towers, Bhosale Nagar, the Aces team defeated the Sparks team 34-26 to clinch the title in the girls’ category. Mahima Kawa 9pts, Saisha Shende 6pts, Anaisha Agarwal 5pts, Rhea Sood 6pts, Samaira Mehta 4pts, Uma Kulkarni 2pts, Aarika Mahabaleshwarkar 2pts from the Aces team performed brilliantly and played a vital role in the team’s victory.

In the match for the third and fourth place, the Storm team, thanks to the excellent performance of Shamika Sama(4Pts), Aariya Agarwal(2pts), Saee Barge(2pts), Priska Shivnani(9pts), Kavya Bhandari(2pts), Yuktha Nair(2pts), Ananya Kalkar(1pts) defeated the Lynx team 22-18 to secure third place.

In the boys’ category, the Bulls team defeated the Bucks team 45-42 in the final match to claim the championship title. Ujwal Shaiju(20 Pts), Pranav Kalingal(6pts), Yash Deshpande(4pts), Nevaan Shewale(2Pts), Nivaan Sawant(8pts), Tanash Gupta(3pts) delivered outstanding performances for the winning team. In the match for third and fourth place, Neev Navani(6pts), Samar Mutha(4pts), Anay Shah(3pts), Krishav Bafna(3pts), Rishabh Goyal(2pts), Indraneel Trimal(2pts) performed remarkably, leading the Spurs team to a 22-16 victory over the Jazz team and securing third place.

The winning teams were awarded trophies and other prizes. The prizes were given away by Amit Madan of Champion Sports, Darshan Shah of Scarters, Poonam Shende of AM2AM Salon, Ankush Malhotra of Monkey Ice, and Vivek Goyal and Aniruddh Chaturvedi of First Cry. Tournament director Karna Mehta and other dignitaries were also present on the occasion. The tournament was supported by Indraneel Chitale of Chitale Bandhu, Rakesh Navani of Jet Synthesis, Srinivas Chaphalkar of Citypride mutliplexes and Dr. Milind Darda of 32 Smiles Dental Clinic.
