Adkar, Nandal upset seeds to enter semis at the Gadre Marine MSLTA – ITF Junior Grade-3 U18 tennis Championships  

Pune, December 2, 2021: Local girl Vaishnavi Adkar continued her dominance as she took a sweet revenge ousting fourth seeded Shruti Ahlawat 6-3, 6-4 to enter the girls semifinals , while Yuvan Nandal upset seventh seeded Ayush Bhatt to make the boys last four  of the Gadre Marine MSLTA – ITF Junior Grade-3 U18 tennis Championships organized by Deccan Gymkhana Under the auspices of ITF, Maharashtra State Lawn Tennis Association and Pune Metropolitan District Tennis Association and played at the Deccan Gymkhana Tennis Courts on Thursday.

Adkar who lost in the finals of J4 ITF juniors to Ahlawat last week in Delhi  played composed tennis to  record a straight set win over Ahlawat, With this win, Adkar remained the  lone Indian player in the draw.

Adkar who is supported by Lakshya and trai under Kedar Shah  is hoping to enter the third  final of the season after coming back from a Knee surgery .

In the Boys section Class 11 student of Shriram School Yuvan Nandal from Chandigarh upset seventh seed Aayush Bhat 6-4, 6-2 to ensure a place in last four and the only Indian boy in the semifinals

Yuvan who practices at Round Glas Tennis Academy under coach Aditya Sachdeva and Impact Tennis Academy, Bangkok under coach Stephen Koon.
