Admission will be based on Common University Entrance Test (CUET) score : RGNIYD Director

Chennai, 12 October 2022: The Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development (RGNIYD), Director Prof. Sibnath Deb said the admission for all courses will be based on Common University Entrance Test (CUET) score.

 

Addressing the media at the institute campus, Prof. Sibnath Deb said that the RGNIYD had received more than one lakh applications for all courses.

 

“Interested students who wrote CUET for admission in RGNIYD, have to register themselves in the link available in our website (www.rgniyd.gov.in). Among the students who have registered, students will be admitted based on the CUET score and reservation as per Government of India norms”, he further said.

 

Prof. Sibnath Deb said that based on the need and demand in the job market, the RGNIYD in the last academic year introduced six new courses which include M.Sc. Computer Science (Data Science), M.Sc. Computer Science (Cyber Security), M.Sc. Computer Science (Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning), M.Sc. Mathematics, M.A English and M.A. Sociology. In the next academic year, the institute has proposed to Introduce Master Programme in Child Rights and Child Protection.

 

He highlighted various activities of the institute in terms of teaching and research besides highlighting its outreach activities, collaborative training programmes with other reputed Indian and foreign institutions.
