Afghanistan: Weapons Once Provided In GoodWill, Are Now Being Used For Destruction
New Delhi, 30th August 2021: At present, the Taliban is sitting on a stockpile of billions of dollars. Its fighters are seen posing for photographs with American war helicopters, one of the world’s most dangerous weapons, and riding on vehicles like Humvees. On their shoulders are now American assault rifles. This is the equipment that America provided to the Afghan army. A video is also going viral on social media, in which a Taliban pilot is purportedly seen trying to fly down a US Black Hawk helicopter at Kandahar airport.
Forbes has claimed based on data from the Department of Logistics Agency (DLA) of the US Defense Department, the Pentagon, that the US has left 8.84 lakh weapons and military equipment in Afghanistan.

The Black Hawk is a four-blade multi-role helicopter. It is effective in carrying out air strikes and defense operations on the enemy. It can also carry a cannon with it. Similarly, the C-130 Hercules aircraft is a multi-purpose transport aircraft. The Humvis combat vehicle protects soldiers from bomb attacks or biological attacks. The Mobile Strike Force Vehicle also acts as a shield for the soldiers, it is not affected by the explosion of the landmine. The vehicle is equipped with a machine gun and a grenade launcher. The US had given a total of 33 Black Hawk helicopters to the Afghan army, no one is confirming how many of them are now in the possession of the Taliban, but the pictures are confirming that the Taliban have this helicopter.
No extremist organization in the world has its own Air Force. Some terrorist organizations have had access to drones, but the Taliban is the only organization that has the power of the Air Force. The Taliban may have also captured a large number of fighter planes and helicopters, but using them is not easy. Maintaining them will also be a big challenge for the Taliban.
Photos released on social media show that many Taliban fighters have changed their costumes. The fighters are now seen in full uniform instead of salwar-kameez and the long beard is not visible. In their hands, instead of rusty weapons, they have state-of-the-art weapons. These weapons have been snatched from the Afghan army or taken after the return of the American army.
