New Delhi, 27th May 2021: A few days after the Delhi Police reached Twitter’s office over a toolkit dispute between Congress and BJP, Twitter has now said that it is concerned about the safety of its employees in India. Delhi Police went to Twitter’s office to investigate after BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra’s tweet was tagged ‘manipulated media’.

A Twitter spokesperson said, “At the moment we are concerned about the recent incidents in India concerning our employees. Apart from this, we are also concerned about the threat that has arisen to freedom of expression, for which we have been working.”

Delhi Police went to Twitter’s office last Monday. The Delhi Police had reached to give legal notice to the head of Twitter India, as the ongoing investigation regarding the ‘manipulated media’ tag on Patra’s Tweet.

Patra shared a toolkit and said that Congress had created the toolkit through which the party is discrediting the Modi government. He had also added that Rahul Gandhi’s tweets about Corona, the way he attacks PM Modi are all part of the toolkit of the Congress.

In retribution, Congress had complained to Twitter about it and labeled the document as fake, after which Twitter added a tag of ‘manipulated media’ to some posts.
