After Successful Edition, Pune Grand Tour Begins Registration to Unite Cycling Community

Pune, 27th February 2026: Riding on the strong response to the previous edition of the Pune Grand Tour, the district administration and event organisers have launched an official registration drive aimed at strengthening Pune’s rapidly growing cycling ecosystem. The initiative seeks to bring together all stakeholders connected to cycling in the city under a single, structured platform ahead of the next edition of the event.

According to the organisers, the registration drive is open to professional cyclists, cycling clubs, institutions, event organisers, businesses and media platforms associated with the sport. A free registration form has been made available on the official Pune Grand Tour website to encourage wide participation from across the cycling community.

The move is part of a broader effort to create an integrated and future-ready cycling network in Pune. Officials said the objective is to nurture talent, promote knowledge-sharing and ensure the organised growth of cycling as a sport and a sustainable mobility option. The initiative also aims to position Pune as a key contributor to India’s cycling movement by connecting individuals and organisations working at different levels of the ecosystem.

The registration is open across multiple categories. Individual cyclists, including professionals, amateur racers, randonneurs, fitness and recreational cyclists, daily commuters, coaches, trainers and ride leaders, are eligible to enrol. Cycling clubs and groups such as community collectives, formal associations, federations, academies, school and college teams, corporate teams, touring groups and digital cycling platforms can also register.

Event organisers involved in road races, mountain biking events, gran fondos, brevet and audax rides, cyclothons, stage races, leagues, championships, ride drives and cycling tours are included in the drive. In addition, the cycling industry and allied businesses — including bicycle brands, component manufacturers, apparel and gear companies, retail stores, distributors, service centres, bike-fit studios, performance labs, rental and bike-sharing services and mobility solution providers — are encouraged to participate.

Media and content creators connected to cycling, such as YouTube channels, podcasts, blogs, vloggers, photographers, filmmakers, journalists, print and digital publications, community pages, training apps, navigation apps and event listing platforms, are also eligible for registration.

The district administration has appealed to all stakeholders to actively take part in the initiative, stating that collective participation is essential to make Pune’s cycling ecosystem stronger, more inclusive and globally competitive.
