Air Vice Marshal Nitin Vaidya (Retd) Appointed to Governing Body of Services Preparatory Institute (SPI)

Pune, 16th June 2025: Air Vice Marshal Nitin Shankar Vaidya, VSM (Retd), a resident of Pune, has been appointed as a member of the Governing Body of the Services Preparatory Institute (SPI), located in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. His appointment, made by the Maharashtra state government, will be effective for five years starting from April 2025.

Air Vice Marshal Vaidya (Retd) currently serves as the Vice President of the Maharashtra and Goa unit of the Akhil Bharatiya Poorva Sainik Seva Parishad (ABPSSP). The ABPSSP is a nationally recognized registered organization committed to the welfare of ex-servicemen, war widows, Veer Naris (brave women), and their families. It operates at the national level and plays a significant role in supporting retired personnel from the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force in fulfilling their social responsibilities.

The appointment of Air Vice Marshal Vaidya (Retd) to the SPI Governing Body has been met with widespread appreciation and pride among the ex-servicemen community.
