Pune: Hinjawadi Officials Hold Key Meeting on Monsoon Water Management and Infrastructure
Hinjawadi, 16th June 2025: Senior officials from Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) and Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) conducted an inspection and held a crucial meeting on Monday to address monsoon water drainage, road repairs, and civic amenities in Hinjewadi Phases 1, 2, and 3, as well as along the metro route.
The inspection was led by PMRDA Additional Metropolitan Commissioner Deepak Singla and MIDC Joint CEO Vijay Rathod, who were accompanied by other officials. Following the site visit, a significant meeting was convened at the Hinjawadi MIDC with relevant officers and staff.
During the meeting, immediate action was ordered to ensure effective drainage of rainwater, especially near Dolphin and Sai Proviso buildings. Officials were directed to promptly remove debris along the metro route and ensure its proper disposal. Strict measures were also mandated against companies releasing polluted water into natural drains, with orders for stringent action.
Additionally, the reopening of closed natural drains was emphasized, along with the removal of debris blocking these water channels. Instructions were given for the cleaning and repair of drainage lines.
The meeting saw the presence of Police Superintendent and Chief Vigilance Officer Amol Tambe, PMRDA Chief Engineer Rinaz Pathan, Director of the Development and Permission Department Sunil Marale, MIDC Chief Engineer Nitin Wankhede, Hinjawadi Traffic Division Incharge Police Inspector Prasad Gokule, and several other departmental officials and staff. The officials also stressed the immediate implementation of decisions taken in the meeting chaired by PMRDA Commissioner Dr. Yogesh Mhase on 11th June.
