Pune, 3rd September 2022: A new addition to Ganeshotsav this year is a fun blue three-fold tourist map, something befitting a world-famous cultural heritage site. Gativan teamed up with Pune Traffic Police and launched a guide dedicated to information regarding the locations of Ganpati Mandals, routes to get there and even parking spaces available nearby. The guide is a reliable tool that makes it easy for people to plan Ganpati Darshan around central Pune.

The festive spirit that Ganeshotsav imbibes in Punekars is unbeatable! Devotees throng the streets seeking blessings of Bappa and appreciating the spectacle put up by the Ganpati Mandals. So far, the festival has grown organically over centuries and was revived as a public festival from Pune by Lokmanya Tilak in 1893 to generate unity and national spirit for the freedom movement.

Today Pune is a large metropolis with many new residents and tourists from all over the country, yet the tradition of Ganeshotsav has grown only stronger, thanks to the enthusiasm of the youth, growing groups of Pathaks and patronage of mandals and devotees. But there hasn’t been a clear guide of information and locations about the festivities. Many also may not be aware of the rich historic heritage of Ganeshotsav in Pune.

The most famous Ganpati Mandals are naturally in the old city center, near Shaniwar Wada and Laxmi Road, an area that developed as an important city and cultural capital from the times of Shivaji Maharaj and the Peshwas. The old wadas and buildings are preserved, and roads are narrow. Hence getting here by car or finding places to park is a daunting task which may deter people from experiencing the most exciting festival of the city.

The Gativan team, took it upon themselves to solving these problems, based on their mantra of setting things in motion. The guide is made available on digital platforms in the form of a downloadable E-guide and a real-time Google Maps link, as well as user friendly printed copies that were distributed in the key areas of the city. The guide contains information about authorized parking spaces that are within a convenient radius of the Mandals. With this, people can plan their Ganpati Mandal visits in advance without having to figure things out while stuck in traffic!

Gativan, the flagship business of Kalyani Studio, intends to provide the best service in vehicle maintenance and repair. Their motto is to provide complete care for your vehicle. With such an innovative campaign, they have certainly won many hearts! The Gativan Ganeshotsav Guide aims to include more and more people in the celebrations.

“During Ganeshotsav, a vibrant energy pervades the city which everyone should experience. To encourage people to be a part of this jubilant festival, and remove some friction of getting there, we came up with the idea of making a Ganeshotsav Guide.”, says the founder of Gativan, Viraj Kalyani, who is also a Director at the Kalyani Group.
