B K Singh Transferred, P U Jadhav Takes Charge as New ADRM Pune

Pune, 11 February 2025: Brijesh Kumar Singh, an Indian Railway Service of Engineers (IRSE) officer from the 1997 batch, has been relieved from his position as Additional Divisional Railway Manager (ADRM), Pune, and posted in the cadre on the railway itself.

Singh, who has served in various capacities across the Indian Railways, began his career as an Assistant Divisional Engineer at Chopan in Dhanbad Division under East Central Railway (ECR). He has held key positions such as XEN and DyCE (Construction) in Samastipur Division, SrDEN in Sonpur and Dhanbad, Deputy General Manager (G) of ECR, and Chief Engineer for Planning, Design, and Track Supply.

During his tenure as ADRM Pune, Singh contributed significantly to the operations and infrastructure development of Central Railway. He has also undergone specialized training, including a Long Haul training program in Beijing and an Advanced Management Program (AMP) in Kuala Lumpur and Singapore.

In his place, P U Jadhav, an officer from the Indian Railway Service of Mechanical Engineers (IRSME), has been appointed as the new ADRM, Pune. Jadhav, who was previously serving in Western Railway, brings extensive experience in diesel locomotive maintenance and railway operations.

Jadhav’s career spans several key positions, including ADME (Diesel) at Sabarmati, Ratlam, and Mhow Diesel Sheds, DME (Diesel) at Sabarmati, and Sr DME at Vatva and Sabarmati. He has also served as Sr DME (Coaching) in Ahmedabad and Mumbai Central, where he implemented managerial reforms leading to significant cost savings.

His contributions include commissioning the first HHP locomotive in Western Railway at Sabarmati in 2009 and successfully implementing GE Locotrol in WDG4 locomotives in 2015, which enhanced freight haulage efficiency. Notably, he played a crucial role in launching the first Vande Bharat (version 2) train between Mumbai Central and Gandhinagar on 1st October 2022.
