Balu wins battle of wits in qualifying round at 22nd edition of NECC Deccan ITF $40000 Women’s Tennis Tournament

Pune, January 22, 2023: Tenth seeded Sharmada Balu edged out Jagmeet Kaur 6-4, 5-7, 6-2 in a battle of wits to enter the second round qualifying at the 22nd edition of the NECC Deccan ITF $40000 Women’s Tennis Tournament India’s longest running and popular international tennis tournament which is being organised under the auspices of the ITF, AITA and MSLTA by Deccan Gymkhana and sponsored by National Egg Coordination Committee (NECC) at the Deccan Gymkhana Tennis Courts

Indian girls Priyanshi Bhandari , Humera Baharmus Local girl Ishwari Matere, Yubrani Banerjee , Paavanii Paathak also made it to round two in the qualifying
