Bhalchandra Mungekar Visits SPPU, Revisits Sentiments About Dandekar
Pune, 23rd September 2022: Prof. Bhalchandra Mungekar, Senior Economist and Former Vice-Chancellor, Mumbai University, paid a visit to the Economics Department of Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU). Prof Mungekar expressed gratitude towards Prof. V M Dandekar and revisited his respectful sentiment about Prof. Dandekar’s contribution to economics.
The book published on the occasion of Dandekar’s birth centenary and jointly edited by Dr Manasi Gore, Dr Minal Annachhatre and Dr Vilas Adhav, titled, Unparalleled Economist: Professor V. M. Dandekar, and the second book written by Professor Vilas Adhav, titled, Chirebandi Krushi Bajaar ani Durbal Shetkari, were presented to Prof Mungekar along with a shawl and a bouquet as a welcome.
Prof Mungekar displayed delight after visiting the departmental library. The departmental teachers, non-teaching staff and research students attended the event.
