Bhau Kokane Club, Saachi Super Kings Win Openers at Lions Premier League 2026

Pune, 23rd February 2026: Bhau Kokane Club and Saachi Super Kings teams celebrated the opening day by defeating their rivals in the 16th ‘Lions Premier League’ 2026 Open Group Twenty-20 Cricket Tournament organized by Lions Club District 3234D2.

In this tournament being held at L. R. Shinde High School Cricket Ground in Sahakarnagar, Bhau Kokane Club easily defeated Nair Eagles team by 35 runs on the strength of 70 runs scored by Sagar Jadhav and 66 runs scored by Sudesh Bhokare. Batting first, Bhau Kokane Club set a target of 198 runs in 20 overs. The Konkan team got off to a poor start. Their leading batsmen were dismissed quickly. After this, Sagar Jadhav and Sudesh Bhokare, who came in to bat, scored 70 runs and 66 runs. The two of them put on a partnership of 117 runs in 75 balls. Chasing this target, Nair Eagles’ innings was limited to 163 runs. Anand Kamthe (36 runs), Hrishikesh Agashe (25 runs) and Rahul Kamthe (21 runs) resisted but the team’s victory was 35 runs away.

With the help of accurate bowling by Samadhan Dandekar, Saachi Super Kings gave a winning start by defeating Yogesh Victors by 8 runs. Batting first, Saachi Super Kings scored 183 runs in 20 overs. Arvind Chauhan top-scored with 60 runs. Apart from this, Mahesh Divate (33 not out), Amar Khedekar (28 runs) and Mahesh Kanade (20 runs) contributed runs. Chasing this target, Yogesh Victors team’s innings was limited to 175 runs. Faiyaz Landge (40 runs), Amit Singh (39 runs) and Saurabh Ravalia (27 runs) played small innings but could not bring victory to the team. Samadhan Dandekar took three wickets and Amar Khedekar took two wickets to make the team’s victory easy.
