BJP Youth Wing Vice President and Associates Booked for Assaulting Washing Centre Owner in Pimpri
Pimpri, 26th March 2023: BJP Yuva Morcha Vice President, Anup More, and associates were booked for thrashing a washing center driver and threatening to shut down his business. The incident occurred on March 23 around 1 pm in Pimpri, according to a complaint filed by Shibu Haridas, the washing center owner.
Samar Kamtekar, son of former city BJP General Secretary Sarang Kamtekar, arrived to wash his car when he allegedly called a group of 7-8 people to abuse the washing center’s workers. Afterward, Seema Sawale, a former councilor, threatened to shut down the washing center’s business. Subsequently, she called Anup More, who arrived with 8-10 people and assaulted the washing center’s owner. The associates also beat Haridas with their hands, while one of them hit him in the back with a bat.
The victim claimed that the attackers switched off the CCTV cameras in his office and damaged them before leaving. A case has been registered against 15-16 people, including Anup More, Samar Kamtekar, and Seema Sawale, based on the complaint filed by Shibu Haridas, who resides in Nigdi.
The Pimpri Police are investigating the incident. BJP officials have yet to comment on the issue.
