Pune, 12th May 2025: A case has been registered against Nationalist Congress Party (Ajit Pawar faction) Pune city president Deepak Mankar at Samarth Police Station for allegedly creating forged documents and misleading the police during the investigation of a financial fraud case linked to Shantanu Kukde, the NCP’s minority cell state vice-president.

According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone 1) Sandeep Singh Gill, the case stems from a wider investigation into Kukde, who is already facing charges in a rape case filed by several women at the same police station. During the financial probe, it was revealed that Kukde operated an organisation called Red House Foundation, which was allegedly used to route significant financial transactions.

Police found evidence of a transaction involving ₹1 crore between Shantanu Kukde and Deepak Mankar, allegedly linked to Red House. During questioning, Mankar submitted certain documents to justify the transaction. However, upon verification, the documents were found to be forged, prompting police to register a fresh case against him and three others.

DCP Gill stated that further investigation is underway to uncover the full extent of the financial dealings and the roles of those involved.
