CBSE Steps In to Clear Confusion Over KVS–NVS Recruitment 2025 Amid Surge in Applications
New Delhi, 27th November 2025: With the KVS–NVS Recruitment 2025 registration window closing soon, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued a crucial advisory to help applicants navigate common errors and avoid last-minute hassles. The notice, posted on the CBSE official website, comes as the registration period, which opened on November 14, nears its December 4 deadline.
This recruitment drive seeks to fill 14,967 teaching and non-teaching positions across Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVS) and Navodaya Vidyalayas (NVS) nationwide.
Over 11 Lakh Candidates Apply; Portal Running Smoothly
CBSE confirmed that the online application system is working without technical issues, with more than 11 lakh applications submitted successfully. However, the board has been inundated with queries via emails, helplines, RTI requests, and grievance portals—prompting this official clarification.
Main Problem: Incorrect Qualification Selection
The advisory notes that the most frequent mistake preventing applicants from completing their forms is the wrong selection of qualifications. Despite some posts having similar titles, eligibility requirements differ, and selecting a mismatched qualification blocks the application automatically.
Candidates are urged to carefully review the recruitment notification and ensure their qualifications precisely match the requirements of the position they are applying for.
Addressing concerns over payment failures, CBSE clarified that candidates whose transactions do not reflect on the portal must reattempt payment. Any previously failed amounts will be automatically refunded within seven days according to official guidelines.
CBSE reiterated that eligibility criteria mentioned in the official notification are binding. No relaxations, modifications, or interpretations will be entertained under any circumstances.
