Central Railway’s daily intensive cleaning of coaches to fight with Corona

14 March 2020, Pune- Special attention being ensured towards cleanliness and disinfection of coaches during Primary Maintenance

In order to ensure cleanliness & hygiene, especially in light of Covid-19 advisory, special efforts are being put-in, during Primary Maintenance of coaches in Coaching depots of CR.

1. Focussed wiping/ cleaning is being done of all passenger interface areas/ components in coaches such as door handles, berth grab handles, wash basins, entry door & partition door handles.

2. Intensive cleaning + disinfection of toilets is also being ensured. For the purpose, the recommended disinfectant Triad of Johnson Diversey is being used.

3. Obhs staff has also been counselled & frequent enroute cleaning in coaches + topping up of liquid handwash soap is also being ensured.

4. Linen cleanliness is also being ensured with laundries + coach attendants counselled to ensure availability of fresh linen to customers.

Apart from the above, the Coaching depot maintenance staff + contract staff has been counselled to be careful towards personal hygiene & take guard against infections.
