Delhi, 29 July 2023: In light of technical glitches faced by students during the registration process for health science courses, including MBBS and BDS, the Common Entrance Test (CET) cell in the state has decided to grant a two-day extension. Aspiring students can now complete their registrations for all NEET-UG courses until 12 pm on July 31. This move comes as a relief to students and parents who have been grappling with technical challenges over the past four days. Alongside the extension, the CET cell has also released the information brochure detailing the admission process for health science courses.

The medical admission process experienced a tumultuous start on Thursday, with numerous students encountering technical issues while attempting to register. In response to the revised schedule for undergraduate medical admissions across the country, issued by the Directorate General of Health Services, the CET cell made the decision to extend the registration deadline. The provisional merit list is now scheduled for release on August 1, with the first selection list set to be published on August 4. The academic session is expected to commence by September 1.

This extension offers aspirants a much-needed respite, allowing them more time to complete their registrations and participate in the admission process for MBBS and BDS courses. With the revised schedule in place, students can now focus on preparing for the upcoming stages of the admission process, assured that they have been granted additional time to secure their positions in these highly sought-after health science courses. The CET cell’s proactive approach in addressing technical challenges and aligning with the revised national schedule underscores their commitment to ensuring a smooth and efficient admission process for medical courses in the state.
