Christmas Day Disruptions: Pune-Lonavala Local Trains Cancelled Due to Line Block

On the festive occasion of Christmas Day, the railway services between Pune and Lonavala faced significant disruptions, causing inconvenience to commuters traveling on this route. Reports from the Pune Division DRM indicate the cancellation of two vital local trains linking Pune and Lonavala.
The local train numbered 01564, scheduled to depart from Pune at 11:17 hrs on December 25th, 2023, and the train numbered 01561, slated to leave Lonavala at 14:50 hrs on the same day, have both been canceled due to an unexpected line blockage between the MVL-LNL stations.
Furthermore, these cancellations are part of a broader trend of disruptions impacting several train services due to various upgrade works across different sections. A total of 34 trains have been affected by infrastructure-related works in the SLI-MIRAJ section, exacerbating travel woes for passengers during this period.
