Pune, 30th August 2025: Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis is likely to visit Pune on Monday, September 1, to pay respects at Ganesh Mandals and meet BJP office bearers in the city. Political leaders and workers are busy making arrangements for the visit. It remains unclear whether the Sinhagad Road flyover will be inaugurated during this occasion.

Every year during Ganeshotsav, CM Fadnavis visits Ganesh Mandals and the homes of select BJP workers and office bearers in Pune. Workers and mandals have now been officially informed about his planned visit.

However, Manoj Jarange Patil has begun a hunger strike in Mumbai demanding Maratha reservation, which is expected to continue for the next few days. This has sparked discussions about whether Fadnavis will be able to visit Pune, causing some uncertainty over the inauguration of the Sinhagad Road flyover. If Fadnavis does visit Pune on September 1, there is a possibility the flyover inauguration could coincide with his trip. As of now, the Pune Municipal Corporation has not received any official confirmation regarding this.

Meanwhile, BJP National President and Union Minister J.P. Nadda is scheduled to visit Pune on Saturday, August 30, to offer Ganpati darshan at various Ganesh Mandals and at the homes of select BJP office bearers. Nadda has followed this tradition for the past few years, visiting Pune annually during Ganeshotsav.
