New Delhi, 26th April 2022: The story of spreading Coronavirus around the world under the influence of heavily mutated new variants associated with fast-spreading traits is still a concern.

However, the risk of infecting children with the virus has not yet been known due to the limited availability of pediatric data and the pediatric vaccine is not yet available for the age of 0 to 5 years.

Now the good news is that on Tuesday, the Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI) approved three Covid vaccines for the restricted emergency use authorization (EUA) for children of different age groups.

Bharat Biotech’s Covaxin for children between the ages of 6-12 years Biological E’s Covid-19 vaccine, Corbevax for children of 5 to 12 years age group ZycovD (Zydus Cadila vaccine) for children above the age of 12 years for a two-dose regimen.
