CREDAI’s State Conclave ‘Mahacon’ Concludes at Loanavala

Pune, 18 June : The Credai Maharashtra members should study and follow the norms introduction of RERA and GST. The future of the real estate business is bright especially in the affordable housing segment, was the confidence expressed at the ‘MAHACON 2017’ , the two-day conclave organised by CREDAI Maharashtra on 16th & 17th June at Lonavala. The conclave was in its 5th edition where more than 365 realtors from 37 cities participated in the event.  
 
The two- day annual conclave witnessed  discussions on various topics ranging from business approach in Post RERA period, successful implementation in mass affordable housing, overcoming challenges in real estate to implementation of GST, planning of mass affordable housing etc.
 
The Mahacon was inaugurated on 16th june Lonavala Vaijnath M. G., National Head, SBI  Loans State bank of India. Satish Magar, president elect of Credai-National,   Shantilal Kataria, President –CREDAI Maharashtra, were among the dignitaries present on the dais. Rohit Raj Modi, CREDAI National  Secretary, Rajiv Parekh, Vice President of  CREDAI Maharashtra, Girish Raibage, Convenor of the Mahacon were among the dignitaries present on the occasion.
 
Speaking on the occasion,  Vaijnath assured that SBI is working closely with real state sector specially for tier II & III cities & providing assistance for affordable housing segment. This assistance is provided to both developers for having projects & end customer, by way of offering very attractive loan packages at minimum interest rate, he said.
 
In his  inaugural address, Shri. Satish Magar urged members to be proactive & change themselves to accommodate modifications trusted upon by RERA enactment.
 
Explaining the objective of the conclave, Shantilal Kataria, President- CREDAI Maharashtra said, “The conclave is organised to impart latest industry knowledge and to share information on the changes in rules and regulations happening in real estate segment so that all the doubts are cleared.”  He explained the responsibilities of members during this transient phase of business due to RERA and GST. He urged members to study & follow RERA & GST norms and assured them that the a bright future lies ahead before the organised and disciplined developers. 
 
During the closing ceremony, Vijay Shende, Director, Town Planning, Maharashtra spoke on uniform  development control rules & upcoming reforms in town planning rules of Maharashtra . 
 
The members had a direct interaction session with Gautam Chatterjee, Chairman , Maha Rera where the latter elaborated on RERA laws and answered queries. Shri. Chatterji told the members that there is no need of registration for projects getting occupation certificate by 31 July 2017. He also explained the advantages of registration to members.  
 
Mr G. C. Sharma, vice chairman of India’s leading Shobha Group explained how the future of real estate sector was bright in India and gave tips to keep financial discipline in the sector. Celebrated architect Hafeez Contractor shared his views on planning of affordable Housing. 
 
The two-day event saw many presentations on affordable housing, key clauses while drafting  documents (Customer /Society / Apartment), strategy for business revival & growth, successful implementation in mass affordable housing, overcoming challenges in real estate, implementation of GST -the way ahead, home Loans and PMAY, project Funding for tier II / III Cities etc. An open forum for Discussion on RERA was also held. 
 
A book detailing the nuances of GST was released at hands of Shri Shantilal Kataria coinciding with the conclave. He also informed the audience that the next MAHACON will be held in Nasik in December 2017.
