Pune, 20 March 2021: Deccan Chargers outplayed Fergusson College A 18-13 to win the finals of the third edition of the Koodo India Team Tennis Championships and played on the Fergusson College Tennis courts.
Deccan Chargers asserted their supremacy by annexing the title for the second year. In the finals Deccan Chargers scored a 18-13 win over FC A, In the 100 plus event Ajay Kamat and Madan Gokhale outhit Sanjay Raskar and Pushkar Peshwa 6-0, In the 90Plus Jaydeep Date and Chirag Shah scored a 6-1 win over Pankaj Yadav and Manoj Kulkarni 6-1; in the 1st Open Mukund Joshi and Hrushikesh Pataskar lost to Sangram Chaphekar and Yash Deshmukh 2-6, while in the 2nd Open Ashish Punglia and Chirag Runwal lost to Divija Godse/Pushkar Peshwa 4-6.
The winner team Deccan Chargers got Rs.20,000 and a trophy, while Runners up FC A received Rs 10000 and trophy. The prizes were given away at the hands of Dr.Sharad Agarkhedkar of Deccan Education Society and Mr.Ranpise of Fergusson College.
