Delhi: Pandal Collapse Creates Panic at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium; Prompt Rescue Operation Underway

Delhi, 17th February 2024: Chaos ensued at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Delhi on Saturday morning when a pandal structure near Gate No. 2 collapsed, resulting in a rapid response from the fire department. The incident occurred during ongoing work inside the stadium, where several individuals were present.
It is reported that the pandal collapse led to eight individuals getting trapped beneath the structure. The fire department swiftly dispatched multiple fire engines to the scene to initiate a rescue operation.
As rescue efforts commenced, fire department personnel worked diligently to extricate all trapped individuals. Subsequently, the rescued victims were promptly transported to the hospital for medical attention. Presently, all the injured are receiving treatment at AIIMS Trauma Centre.
Fortunately, there is no information about any casualties at this time. The collaborative efforts of the police, fire brigade, and ambulance services are ongoing at the site to ensure the safety of individuals and complete the rescue operation.
