Delhi to Rameshwaram via Ramayan Circuit: IRCTC’s Shri Ramayana Yatra Train Departs July 25; Booking Open

New Delhi, 3rd July 2025: Indian Railways will commence the “Shri Ramayana Yatra” on July 25, 2025, through its Bharat Gaurav Deluxe AC Tourist Train, originating from Delhi Safdarjung Railway Station. The 17-day journey will cover 12 prominent locations linked to the life of Lord Ram. The base fare for this spiritual tour starts at ₹1,17,975 per person for AC 3-tier class.
Operated by the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), the train is part of the Government of India’s “Dekho Apna Desh” and “Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat” initiatives, aimed at promoting domestic pilgrimage tourism.
The journey will include visits to Ayodhya, Nandigram, Sitamarhi, Janakpur (Nepal), Buxar, Varanasi, Prayagraj, Chitrakoot, Nashik, Hampi, and Rameshwaram, before returning to Delhi. Tourists will cover a distance of approximately 7,600 kilometers.
Boarding and deboarding options are available at Delhi, Ghaziabad, Aligarh, Tundla, Etawah, Kanpur, and Lucknow. The tour will accommodate up to 150 passengers, with coach classes including AC I, AC II, and AC III tiers. Pricing for different categories is as follows:
- AC III Tier: ₹1,17,975
- AC II Tier: ₹1,40,120
- AC I Cabin: ₹1,66,380
- AC I Coupe: ₹1,79,515
The train is equipped with modern amenities such as two onboard restaurants, a kitchen, shower cubicles, sensor-based washrooms, foot massagers, CCTV surveillance, and security guards in each coach. Tourists will be provided with 3-star hotel stays, vegetarian meals, insurance, and guided road transfers in AC vehicles.

- Ayodhya: Ram Janmabhoomi temple, Hanuman Garhi, Ram ki Paidi
- Nandigram: Bharat Mandir
- Sitamarhi & Janakpur (Nepal): Sita Ji’s birthplace and Ram Janki Temple
- Buxar: Ramrekha Ghat, Rameshwarnath Temple
- Varanasi: Kashi Vishwanath Temple, Tulsi Mandir, Ganga Aarti
- Prayagraj, Shringverpur, Chitrakoot: Overnight stay and road travel
- Nashik: Trimbakeshwar Temple, Panchvati
- Hampi: Anjaneya Hill, Vitthala and Virupaksha Temples
- Rameshwaram: Ramanathaswamy Temple, Dhanushkodi
