Demand For Vehicles With ‘BH’ Registration Number Series Increase In Pune
Pune 17th August 2023: The Regional Transport Authority in Pune has witnessed a surge in the number vehicles with ‘BH’ (Bharat) registration number series. Started with an aim to cater the central government and private employees who often gets transferred, the series has been getting a good response.
According to the officials, a total of 2,645 four wheelers have registered in Pune till July comapred to 2,715 registered in 2022 and 106 registered in 2021. Similarly the number of two wheelers registered with this number series has reached 1,186 till July this year comapred to 1,047 reported in 2022 and 25 reported in 2021.
The number series was started to provide benefits to the central government and private employees to ensure that they do not need to change their number whenever they are transferred to a new state. The number in this series starts with the year of registration of the new vehicle followed by BH, four-digit number randomly chosen by computer and then any two alphabets between A and Z.
